EGCR’s Legal Fact of the Week: Food Security Act of 1985

The Food Security Act, also know as the 1986 U.S. Farm Bill, was signed into law by President Reagan.  This law ensures that citizens of the low-income spectrum are guaranteed quality food at reasonable prices.

Additionally, it would create Farm Credit programs, provide agricultural export, and create conservation resources.
