EGCR’s Legal Fact of the Week: Credit Card Act of 2009

The Credit Card Act was passed by Congress. Then it was signed by President Obama on May 22nd, 2009.  The law is aimed for companies to create fair and clear policy regarding consumers. It prevents from interests rates being changed on clients, gives longer periods of time for payments to be made, and to market away from young adults.
